Brougham Street Retaining Wall

Brougham Street, New Plymouth

New Plymouth District council

This was a small job for the New Plymouth District Council to construct a small retaining wall behind a private property to retain a bank that had been slowly slipping down only metres from the back of the house. The job consisted of clearing out existing vegetation and breaking away existing concrete to allow for post holes to be marked out drilled using a post hole borer and by hand and then loaded out by wheel barrow to truck on the street. Timber was installed with a lean back, concreted in and left to go off before installing timber wall. Site was then re-instated with the property owners and council very happy.
